Handprint footprint memorabilia

As a parent, I often feel I should freeze some moments from my daughter’s life .. like how small her feet and hand were when she was growing up.. I really love the idea of a handprint footprint memorabilia that would adorn my child’s room.

With that thought in mind … I bought some craft supplies

  1. Fine art - canvas boards – These costed me 22rs a piece and come board mounted.. no need to frame.
  2. Some Craft papers from navneet publications in different colors 8rs for 25 pieces. For trial.
  3. Acrylic colors in bright shades.
  4. Thick brush.
I prefer Acrylic over any other paint because they peel off  very easily from kids hands once dry.. The trick is to not use water at all.. You can try with non toxic water based body paints also.
I first tried a sample handprint on black craft paper.. Looks real cool rt?
Next it was mettalic bronze on white canvas. I’m going to stick a satin loop behind the canvas and they are ready to hang. My parents are moving into their new home next weekend and I’m sure they’ll love to display these :)
Need more options? You can try white on flouroscent squares .. a fun way to display your family’s handprints

Or if you are in US of A, buy the handprint canvas set  that comes complete with ready to use non toxic water based paints.

Footprints? Handprints? Doodles? Doesn’t matter. This is a good excuse to get the whole family to do something creative together, and then enjoy the result.

Do try it out and don’t forget to share the pics :)
